What to do if your child's baby teeth become loose

Loosening of deciduous teeth is a sign that a child needs to grow new teeth. If you want to have a set of neat and beautiful teeth, you must pay attention to helping your baby solve the problem correctly. You can pull out the deciduous teeth in time so that the new teeth will grow more neatly.

1. Retained deciduous teeth : If the baby reaches the age of replacing teeth and the permanent teeth are about to grow, but the upper deciduous teeth still do not fall out, it is called retained deciduous teeth. The permanent teeth cannot grow from the normal position and have to grow from the abnormal position. If the deciduous tooth is loose, you can remove it at home; if it is very strong, you need to go to the hospital to remove it.

2. Early loss of deciduous teeth: As the name suggests, the deciduous teeth "retire" early, which may cause the permanent teeth on both sides to move closer to the gap in the middle, resulting in insufficient space for the permanent teeth in this position to grow out. They have to grow from abnormal positions or grow together. In this case, you need to go to the hospital, and the doctor will prescribe a space maintainer for you depending on the situation, waiting for the permanent teeth to grow out.

3. Supernumerary teeth: The extra teeth should be removed, but remember to go to the hospital!

4. If the child's first deciduous tooth falls out and the permanent tooth fails to grow out, the baby will chew with his gums, making the gums hard and not conducive to the growth of permanent teeth. In this case, you should go to the hospital to check the cause to see if it is a nutritional deficiency, especially calcium deficiency, and make sure to supplement it.

5. Deciduous teeth with caries: Deciduous teeth with caries may affect the development of permanent teeth, so it is best to go to the hospital for a check-up to see the extent of the impact. If it is too serious, it is recommended to extract them to create a healthy environment for the growth of permanent teeth.

6. The gap between the upper front teeth is too large: This is caused by the lip frenulum attachment point being too low and requires surgery.

7. Eat more chewy foods : promote the normal shedding of deciduous teeth and provide space for the growth of permanent teeth. If your incisors and molars have already grown in, you can eat some foods that are more chewy, such as celery.

8. Balanced nutrition: This is very important. If there is a lack of nutrition, permanent teeth will not grow out in time. If the nutrition is balanced, the permanent teeth will grow out step by step. To have a balanced diet, you should not be picky about food. You should eat vegetables, lean meat, eggs, milk, rice, and steamed buns.
