What should I do if my baby eats nipple cream?

If your baby accidentally swallows nipple cream, you must not waste time at home and must go to the hospital immediately for vomiting treatment to prevent the baby from any poisoning. Some seriously ill children may need gastric lavage, which can improve the condition. If necessary, you can give the baby oxygen to improve their quality of life.

1. Symptomatic treatment is the main approach. Induce vomiting and perform gastric lavage within 6 to 8 hours after ingestion of a large amount of poison. Choose antibiotics that target intestinal bacteria.

2. Botulinum toxin can be given in the form of polyvalent botulinum serum. Perform an intradermal test first. It should be used early, as the effect will be very poor after more than 48 hours. Not recommended for use on infants.

2. Correct dehydration and acidosis, administer oxygen, reduce temperature, and provide monitoring if conditions permit to prevent the disease from worsening.

1. Strengthen health education and avoid eating rotten or spoiled food.

2. Leftovers should be heated before eating, expired canned food should be thrown away, and dead livestock should be buried deeply.

3. Wash and blanch fruits and vegetables before eating them raw, and prepare and cook raw and cooked food separately.

4. Catering industry practitioners should undergo regular training and physical examinations.

5. Food should be refrigerated or frozen, and the temperature should be controlled between 2℃ and 8℃, which can inhibit the reproduction of most bacteria. The refrigeration effect of cooked food will be better if it is protected from light, oxygen and not repeatedly contaminated during refrigeration.

6. High-temperature sterilization of food before consumption is a reliable method. Its effectiveness depends on factors such as temperature, heating time, bacterial type, amount of contamination and the properties of the food being processed, and depends on specific circumstances.

7. It is prohibited to eat poisonous plants and animals such as poisonous mushrooms and pufferfish.

It is an endocrine disease, which is the accumulation of acidic substances in the blood and tissues of the body. Its essence is the increase of hydrogen ion concentration and the decrease of pH value in the blood.

3. Shock

It is a critical systemic pathological process in which various strong pathogenic factors act on the body, causing a sharp decline in circulatory function, serious lack of microcirculatory perfusion of tissues and organs, and even serious dysfunction of the functions and metabolism of important vital organs. The pathogenesis of shock can be divided into the early shock stage and the shock stage, which can also be called the shock compensation stage and the shock inhibition stage.

4. Respiratory paralysis

Breathing is also a kind of exercise, and there are muscles specifically responsible for breathing, such as the diaphragm and intercostal muscles. When these muscles do not function properly due to cervical and thoracic cord diseases, spinal neuropathy, and muscle diseases, respiratory paralysis can result.

5. Convulsions

Also known as convulsions, it is a common acute and serious disease in children, with convulsions and coma as the main clinical features. It can occur in any season and is more common in children aged 1 to 5 years old. The younger the age, the higher the incidence rate. The symptoms are often serious, change rapidly, and threaten the child's life.
