Treatment of red birthmarks on newborns' heads

Treatment of red birthmarks on newborns' heads

Most newborns will feel that they have red birthmarks on their heads after they are born. This is a very common situation. Experienced parents may not react too much when encountering this situation. As long as they take good care of their children's eating habits, they can grow and develop well. However, some novice parents will think that this situation is abnormal. In fact, this is a red hemangioma.

1. Traditional Chinese medicine external application method:

Some people have tried applying Chinese medicine externally, but it is not only time-consuming but can also leave scars if not done properly.

2. Cryotherapy:

Not only is it ineffective, but it will also leave scars.

3. Isotope therapy:

In modern times, isotope patch treatment is used. Although it has an inhibitory effect on the growth of birthmarks, the effect is not ideal because it will leave secondary white spots, pigmentation and muscle stiffness. 4. Skin grafting:

The cosmetic effect is not ideal either.

5. Laser scanning method:

Using the thermal effect of laser, birthmarks can be bleached and peeled, with immediate good results, but the disadvantage is that they will turn red again after a few months.

6. Laser drug method:

After the drug is injected, a certain wavelength of colored laser is used for local irradiation. The drug reacts when it meets the light, causing the capillaries to contract, thereby achieving the purpose of removing the black color. It has a better effect on patients with pink birthmarks, and the recurrence rate is lower than that of laser scanning.

7. Laser quick freezing

The child uses the hospital's quick freezing method to control the growth of fetal pressure

Port-wine stains, flame nevus, strawberry hemangioma, and strawberry capillary hemangioma are often not visible at birth and are usually discovered within one month after birth. They appear as small red spots at first and then grow rapidly. Some children stop growing at around 1 to 2 years old, but the probability is relatively low. The incidence rate of female patients is three times that of male patients. It is named because of its strawberry shape.

If you feel that the red birthmark has affected your baby's appearance, you can use laser quick freezing to alleviate the problem. This can effectively alleviate the growth of your baby's red birthmark and prevent the birthmark on your baby's head from continuing to expand as they age, so it won't be too obvious.
