In more serious cases, the eyes will be red, swollen, congested, keratinized, and the corneal epithelium will be broken with filaments attached. This damage can cause corneal and conjunctival lesions over time and affect vision.

What causes dry eyes in children? Normally, the tear points are immersed in the tear lake and touch the bulbar conjunctiva. Even if the patient looks up, the lower tear points will not be seen without opening the lower eyelid. This close contact is a prerequisite for maintaining normal tear absorption function.
