If a child has indigestion, he or she should avoid eating too much refined food, such as less bread, cake and dairy products. Children with poor digestion should pay attention to a reasonable diet, consume both animal protein and plant protein accordingly, and avoid eating too greasy food. There are many symptoms of indigestion, and these symptoms can be used to determine whether your child has a physical problem with indigestion. Under normal circumstances, babies who are exclusively breastfed have yellow or golden stools with a uniform consistency like a paste or slurry. Occasionally, the stools are thin and slightly green, with a sour but not smelly taste. The baby has 2 to 4 bowel movements a day. Babies who are bottle-fed (mainly with milk or milk powder) have light yellow or earthy gray poop, are dry and hard, strip-shaped, often contain milk curds, have a distinct odor, and have 1 to 2 poops a day. Some children who are fed formula have dark green stools. This is because a certain amount of iron is added to the formula. Some of the unabsorbed iron turns dark green after coming into contact with the air through the digestive tract. Once the baby starts accepting complementary foods such as grains, eggs, meat, and vegetables, his poop will become more and more similar to that of an adult. Without changing the amount or type of food, the baby's bowel movements are relatively regular, so when this pattern is broken, special attention should be paid. Green stools; the baby keeps turning over and over in sleep, and sometimes grinds teeth; loss of appetite; the baby often says that his stomach is bloated and hurts; the baby's nose is blue on both sides, the tongue is covered with thick white fur, and there is a sour and rotten smell in the breath. For children with indigestion, they must avoid drinking irritating beverages when their digestion is not good, such as carbonated beverages, alcoholic beverages, and very sour beverages. When children have poor digestion, you can let them drink some lemon water, or some rice soup, or eat some soft food. |
