What are the treatments for allergic cough in children?

If a child suffers from a disease such as allergic cough, the first thing to do is to try to keep the child away from allergens, so as to reduce the recurrence of the disease. This type of disease can usually be treated with medication, but medication can easily cause other side effects in children, so if the condition is relatively mild, it is recommended to focus on conditioning.

1. Western medicine three-step treatment for asthma: anti-inflammatory, anti-asthmatic, and hormone application. The use of large amounts of hormones in the anti-inflammatory process can easily lead to serious drug resistance, irritate the gastrointestinal tract, damage the liver and kidneys, reduce white blood cells, and induce blood diseases. In addition, long-term use of hormones can also cause insomnia, reduce immunity, induce diabetes, increase high blood pressure and aggravate heart disease.

2. Oral medications: They are metabolized in the liver, part of the drug becomes ineffective and damages the liver. The remaining small amount of active ingredients enters the blood for distribution, and even less reaches the site of disease. This type of folk remedy for cough variant asthma has little effect and poor results.

3. Desensitization therapy: The treatment time is long, the effect is slow, and there is a risk of causing severe allergic reactions. Desensitization therapy is not suitable for people who are allergic to multiple antigens.

4. Intramuscular injection: Long-term intramuscular injection of drugs can cause local muscle adhesion, hyperplasia, and necrosis.

Usually, traditional therapies for treating children with cough variant asthma have a single method and fixed medications, and are unable to take symptomatic treatment measures based on the patient's own condition. Although the surface symptoms are eliminated, the virus still exists in the child's body, and there is a risk of recurrence at any time, and the patient cannot be cured fundamentally. Therefore, mothers must do a good job of prevention, help babies stay away from allergens as much as possible, and improve physical fitness and enhance antiviral capabilities.
