The reason why many people suffer from asthma is closely related to allergic rhinitis. The relationship between these two diseases is very close. If allergic rhinitis is not treated promptly and correctly, it will evolve into asthma, especially in children. Only when family members understand what allergic rhinitis and asthma syndrome in children is, can they prepare for treatment as soon as possible. Allergic rhinitis-asthma syndrome in children is a new medical diagnostic name proposed in recent years. It refers to the simultaneous occurrence of clinical or subclinical upper respiratory tract allergies (allergic rhinitis) and lower respiratory tract allergic symptoms (asthma), which often coexist. The link between allergic rhinitis and allergic asthma was observed as early as the 1960s. Epidemiological surveys have confirmed that the incidence of asthma in patients with allergic rhinitis is 4-20 times higher than that in normal people. The incidence of asthma in the normal population is about 2-5%, while the incidence of asthma in patients with allergic rhinitis can be as high as 20-40%. Some people even believe that 60% of allergic rhinitis may develop into asthma or be accompanied by lower respiratory tract symptoms. The continuity of the nasal cavity and bronchi in anatomical structure and physiological function determines the relationship between allergic rhinitis and asthma. As a result, some scholars have proposed concepts such as "combined respiratory tract", "allergic rhinitis and bronchitis" and "pan-airway inflammation syndrome", believing that upper and lower respiratory tract diseases require joint diagnosis and treatment. Some scholars have even proposed the concept of allergic syndrome, believing that treatment should be approached from a systemic perspective. Since allergic rhinitis and asthma are both type I hypersensitivity reactions, they are very similar in etiology, immunology and pathogenesis. Therefore, their diagnostic methods and treatments have many similarities. With the help of the new diagnostic name of pediatric allergic rhinitis asthma syndrome, the two diseases can be jointly diagnosed and treated, which can improve the diagnostic accuracy of the two diseases and reduce the reuse of drugs, thereby greatly reducing the misdiagnosis rate and improving clinical efficacy. I believe everyone is clear about what allergic rhinitis and asthma syndrome is in children. When a child becomes ill, you cannot treat him/her blindly. First, you must make a systematic diagnosis of his/her condition and the type of attack, and then develop a scientific treatment plan. However, this disease takes a long time to treat, and protective measures must be taken during treatment. |
