What to do if children have foreskin edema

Nowadays, with the arrival of an aging society in our country, many parents want to have a second child. So now among many young people, more and more boys are troubled by some reproductive diseases, and foreskin edema is the most common reproductive health disease. So what should we do if children have foreskin edema? I believe that through my introduction below, I can help parents resolve their doubts.

Some children have foreskin that is too long or phimosis. When they are free, they like to play with their penis. Because of phimosis, if they play with their penis too hard, it will easily cause foreskin edema. Foreskin edema can affect reproductive health. So what should children do if their foreskin is edematous? Let's learn about it together!

In patients with phimosis or excessive foreskin with a narrow outer opening, if the foreskin is forcibly turned up and not restored in time, the narrow foreskin opening may be tightened on the coronal sulcus of the penis, hindering the blood return of the distal foreskin and the glans penis, causing swelling in these areas. This condition is called foreskin incarceration (foreskin edema). Phimosis is often caused by sexual intercourse or masturbation. After the foreskin is incarcerated, there will be severe local pain, redness and swelling of the glans penis, and edema of the foreskin. The longer the incarceration time, the more severe the swelling. If not treated in time, the foreskin and glans penis will suffer from ischemia and necrosis.

For children with foreskin edema, the foreskin should be turned back to its normal position as much as possible. The method is to apply a hot towel to accelerate blood flow, then circle the penis with a wrist ring, press the glans down with the thumb, and press it into the foreskin. The swelling will go away after a few more presses. Since children are still very weak, do not pull back the foreskin by yourself. The best way is to go to the hospital to consult a doctor.

Through the brief description in the above paragraphs, I believe that the majority of parents should have a deeper understanding of the problem of foreskin edema in children! In addition, I would like to point out that no matter how busy we adults are at work, we must pay more attention to the reproductive health of our children. If you experience any foreskin edema or inflammation, you must seek medical attention immediately.
