Causes of autism in children

Nowadays, people are paying more and more attention to children with autism. On the one hand, autism is caused by genetic factors, and on the other hand, many children are affected by acquired living environment or diseases. Children with autism tend to be very lonely, unwilling to interact with others, and start speaking later than other children. If a child has autism, he or she must be treated early and given more care.

What causes children to suffer from autism?

1. Children who have birth defects, intrauterine asphyxia, infection, poisoning, etc. are prone to illness. Examinations of these children have found that 15%-50% of the children have epileptic seizures, and some have neurological signs, physical deformities, etc. Congenital rubella virus infection and cytomegalovirus infection may be related to the onset of autism.

2. Most of the children are related to genetics, because most of the children have family members with a history of autism. Scientific research has shown that genetic factors have become one of the main causes of autism.

3. Children live in an overly monotonous environment for a long time, lacking rich and appropriate stimulation, and their parents do not teach them social behavior correctly, which causes children to often stimulate themselves with repetitive actions, gradually lose interest in the outside world, and thus lead to the onset of autism.

4. The home environment has a profound impact on children. Frequent quarrels or even divorces between parents can easily cause children to suffer from heavy mental burdens and develop an autistic and introverted personality. Or parents are too cold and strict with their children, and lack family warmth. These may cause your child to become ill.

Manifestations of autism

1. Social communication disorder

This is the biggest problem facing children with autism. They are indifferent to things around them, find it difficult to understand other people's emotions and feelings, and are unable to express their own emotions and feelings correctly. Children with autism have a "mind blindness". They seem to think that whatever exists in their own brains also exists in other people's brains, and there is no difference between them. That is, they usually think that their feelings are the feelings of others, but this does not mean that they have no feelings.

2. Lack of ability to learn and imitate

"Imitation" is the most important tool for children to learn. Children learn to speak through imitation, and learn to communicate using silent body language, gestures and expressions. But children with autism do not imitate.

3. Language barriers are prominent

Most children with this disease speak very little, and some in severe cases may remain speechless for life. Even if some children can speak, they would rather use gestures instead of language, or they can only mechanically imitate other people's language, and often cannot distinguish between you and me.

4. Narrow interests, rigid behavior, strict requirements for the environment, and no room for change

Children with the disorder usually focus on one or several games for a long time, often repeating fixed and stereotyped movements, and even engaging in self-harming behaviors.

How to prevent autism in children

First of all, when the mother is pregnant, try not to smoke or drink. This is a direct factor that leads to autism in children, so parents should pay attention to this. At the same time, avoid taking medicine when you are sick during pregnancy, as medicines also have hormonal effects on the fetus.

Secondly, the gluten or casein in the food cannot be completely broken down, forming too many short peptide chains. These short peptide chains have opioid activity. Excessive doses enter the blood through the digestive tract and then cross the blood-brain barrier into the brain, stimulating and affecting the entire central nervous system, ultimately leading to dysfunction and many symptoms of autism in children.

Again, avoid leaving children alone. Parents should spend more time with their children and teach them common sense. A harmonious living environment can effectively slow down the occurrence of autism.

Finally, parents should become friends with their children, think about problems from their children's perspective, encourage and guide their children, expand their children's thinking, and often take their children to visit other children's homes. At the same time, encourage children to help each other when playing with other children. Group cooperation can cultivate children's pro-sociality.
