What to do if children have dandruff on their heads

Children are a relatively special group. Compared with teenagers, children's physical fitness is relatively weak, so the chance of suffering from diseases is also relatively high. So what should we do if children have dandruff on their heads? First of all, it can be explained that there are certain problems with children’s diet, which leads to more dandruff in children. Next, let us learn about the specific methods and measures.

It is probably the so-called "baby hat," a type of seborrheic dermatitis that is not a harmful disease and will generally disappear on its own. If you think your baby is feeling uncomfortable, you can use some baby massage oil, apply it evenly on the baby's head, soak it for a while to soften the skin, and then use a wet wipe or soft cloth to wipe it off for the baby. Don't scratch it with your hands, it will make the baby uncomfortable. If your baby's hair is long and you don't want to shave it bald, you will need a wooden comb with extra fine teeth. You can use it to comb your baby's hair to comb out the hair.

Dandruff is caused by general skin dirt, which is the continuous peeling of the stratum corneum of the epidermis. It is also the result of metabolism. Dandruff is divided into physiological dandruff and pathological dandruff. Too much dandruff will clog the pores, causing the hair to become weak, making it easy for bacteria to proliferate, and irritate the skin, causing itchy scalp problems. Pathological dandruff refers to inflammation of the scalp caused by bacterial infection, fungal infection, or other physical or chemical damage. Physiological dandruff is generally common in adults as dry dandruff, which is bran-like, grayish-white small flakes scattered among the hair.

The other type is oily dandruff, in which the scalp and hair feel greasy and sticky, and are covered with thick scabs of varying thickness. This condition is particularly common in infants and young children. Causes of Dandruff

In the area where the sebaceous glands are located, there is a microorganism called PITYRO-SPORUMOVALE, a yeast-like fungus that normally coexists peacefully with humans, but some people suddenly lose their resistance to this microorganism. The fungus spores of dandruff can cause excessive sebum secretion and produce dandruff.

Dysfunction of scalp cells The cells of the scalp have a certain metabolic process just like the skin. After the basal cells proliferate, they gradually mature and push outward, and finally the stratum corneum becomes lifeless and falls off. If there is something wrong with this process, the maturation of scalp cells will be incomplete. It will flake off. For example, the elderly, malnourished people, patients undergoing chemotherapy or suffering from psoriasis may suffer from increased dandruff.

If a child at home has dandruff on his head, the first thing to do is to adjust the child's diet. Let the child eat more vegetables and less spicy, sour and cold food. At the same time, do not let him be picky about food. If he is picky about food, you must strictly require him to solve the problem of picky eating fundamentally. Only in this way can the child grow up healthily and happily, and of course there will be no problems in all aspects.
