How to solve the problem of baby's heavy breathing

How to solve the problem of baby's heavy breathing

When parents are taking care of their babies, they should pay attention to some symptoms that may occur in their babies' bodies, because we can observe whether they are affected and hurt by some diseases by understanding some of their physical symptoms. Some parents will find that the baby's breathing is often rough. So when faced with this situation, how should we solve it effectively?

Parents often find that their baby's nose is blocked. If the symptoms are mild, it will only make some noise when breathing. Severe symptoms will affect the baby's breathing, especially when feeding. When feeding, the baby may cry and choke easily, making feeding difficult; the baby may even become irritable and cry incessantly, seriously affecting the baby's sleep. In some severe cases, the baby may have obvious breathing difficulties and need to be sent to the hospital. Therefore, it is very necessary to understand the relevant knowledge about baby nasal congestion.

Rescue Tips

1. If the nasal cavity is blocked by nasal crust, efforts should be made to remove the crust to keep it unobstructed.

Wrong method: Parents pick their children’s noses with their hands, trying to dig out the nasal crusts. This will not only fail to remove the nasal crust, but will easily damage the child's nasal mucosa, causing bleeding and infection.

Correct method: If the dry nasal crust is blocking the nostril opening, you can use a small sterilized cotton swab to gently roll it off. If the nasal mucus is deeper in the nasal cavity, you can gently squeeze the nose wings. If necessary, drop 1-2 drops of saline or cold boiled water in the nostrils to moisten and soften the nasal mucus, then gently squeeze the nose wings to gradually loosen the nasal crust, and then use a small sterilized cotton swab to roll it off.

2. If the nasal congestion is indeed caused by nasal inflammation and seriously affects feeding or rest, you can use 0.5% ephedrine furacillin drops cautiously under the guidance of a doctor, one drop in each nostril, which usually takes about 10 minutes to work. However, ephedrine has side effects on young infants and is not suitable for excessive use.

3. If there is a lot of nasal secretions, you can also use a nasal aspirator to remove the secretions. At the same time, don't forget to actively treat the cold itself.

If parents want their children to grow up healthy and happy, they should pay attention to any abnormalities in their children's bodies. They also need to know what causes this situation and take the most effective solutions to help their babies stay healthy, thereby better preventing various diseases and the impact and harm they may cause.
