Causes of low immunity in children

Children's immunity is much lower than that of adults. Because children's immunity is in a stage of continuous improvement during this period, parents must pay attention to adding clothes to keep their children warm when taking care of them. Therefore, in the process of taking care of their babies, parents may easily find that their babies are very prone to illness. At this time, parents need to understand the reasons for their children's low immunity so that they can appropriately improve their children's immunity.

1. Poor environment leads to low immunity. Air pollution or passive smoking causes bacteria and toxic fumes in the air to enter the respiratory tract, affecting the lung's ventilation function.

2. Lack of vitamins and trace elements. An unbalanced baby diet leads to a lack of nutrients such as calcium, zinc, iron, vitamin A, and vitamin D, which can easily lead to malnutrition and decreased resistance in the baby.

3. The baby suffers from immunodeficiency disease. Due to the congenital lack of some antibody synthases, babies are prone to repeated infectious diseases after birth.

4. Abuse of antibiotics leads to low immunity. If antibiotics are used unreasonably, incorrectly, or when they are not needed, it will easily kill the beneficial bacteria in the baby's body that can inhibit the reproduction of pathogens, causing the disease prevention effect to fail. The body's defense function will then decline, while pathogenic bacteria will be trained and become drug-resistant, leading to a decline in immunity.

5. Being too particular about hygiene can lead to low immunity. Paying too much attention to cleanliness and hygiene will reduce the baby's chances of coming into contact with microorganisms and fail to stimulate the body to produce antibodies, which will make the baby more likely to get sick.

6. The baby’s sleep quality is poor. Maintaining good sleep helps to improve immunity, but if the baby's sleep quality is poor, it is easy to get sick.

7. Malnutrition or overnutrition. The human immune system is mainly composed of immune organs, immune cells and immune molecules. The formation of the baby's immune system is inseparable from the assistance of nutrients. Insufficient nutrition will lead to reduced immune function; excess nutrition will make it difficult for the baby to digest, easily causing gastrointestinal dysfunction and reduced immunity.

The above editor summarizes and introduces the reasons for the decline in baby’s immunity, hoping that parents can have more understanding. In addition, mothers should breastfeed their babies after they are born, ensure that they get enough sleep, give them appropriate body massages, and especially do a good job of vaccinations, all of which will help improve their babies' immunity.
