How to carry out rehabilitation training for children

Every parent hopes that their children can grow up healthily and happily, but in the process of their growth, they are easily affected by some diseases, such as cerebral palsy or other problems. So if we cannot carry out some rehabilitation training in time, then it will have an impact on his future growth and intellectual development. Here I will introduce the content of children's rehabilitation training.

Principles of rehabilitation therapy: Based on the plasticity of the brain (referring to the brain's adaptability, which can modify itself in structure and function, adapt to changed objective phenomena, and make it possible to recover from brain damage), the contact transmission function is continuously strengthened, the release of neurotransmitters is promoted, the contact potential is increased, new contact contacts are activated or established, and normal movement functions are restored. Steps and objectives of rehabilitation training: relieve muscle spasms, balance muscle strength, correct deformities, adjust limb weight-bearing lines, and improve motor function. Principles of rehabilitation treatment:

1. Early detection and early treatment. The earlier the better, it can not only promote the normal development of the nervous system, improve abnormal posture and movement, inhibit abnormal reflexes, but also prevent secondary complications such as tendon contracture and bone and joint deformities, and reduce the disability rate.

2. Comprehensive treatment. According to the laws of neurodevelopment and the principles of kinematics, the Vojta method and the Bobath method are mainly used, combined with fine motor and language training of the hands, plus appropriate physical therapy, combined with Chinese medicine massage and acupoint injection and other drug treatments. Some older patients may need necessary surgical procedures in addition to rehabilitation.

3. Combine rehabilitation, education and play. Childhood is an important stage for growth, development and early education, and the combination of the two helps to maximize the development of physical and mental potential.

4. Parents participate in rehabilitation therapy. Rehabilitation of cerebral palsy is a long process. It is impossible to solve all problems by relying solely on 1-2 hours of training a day by a therapist. In order to ensure that patients receive effective treatment, parents must learn and participate in some commonly used rehabilitation methods.

5. Adhere to long-term treatment. Rehabilitation from cerebral palsy is a long and complex process that requires perseverance and must not be interrupted. Rehabilitation training requires professional rehabilitation therapists to diagnose the patient's functional disorders, and then carry out targeted treatment through professional training equipment, mainly focusing on limb function training. The sooner you start, the better. Even for patients undergoing surgical treatment, pre- and post-operative rehabilitation training is necessary.

For children, the emergence of any problem will have a relatively large impact and harm on them, so we cannot ignore the understanding of these common sense, how to treat or do some recovery training. If you don’t understand, you should consult a doctor so as to achieve the best rehabilitation training effect.
