How to teach your child to spit

Everyone knows that having phlegm stuck in your throat is very uncomfortable. Many people do not learn the correct way to spit when they grow up. Every time they have phlegm in their throat, they cannot cough it out, which is very uncomfortable. Therefore, parents must teach their children the correct way to cough up phlegm so that they can cough up the phlegm quickly and prevent the phlegm from not being coughed up, which will cause harm to the child's body. So how should we teach children to spit?

1. The spitting posture should be correct

First, the posture should be correct: lean forward.

Then, take a deep breath and cough hard, allowing the phlegm to rise into the mouth along the strong airflow.

Next, prepare a tissue to cover your mouth and nose, feel the location of the phlegm again, and then cough again to spit out the phlegm.

Finally, take a look at the sputum caught in the tissue, wrap it up and throw it away or dispose of it in a centralized location.

Ps: Why do you need to take a look at the sputum? The purpose of this look is to observe whether the sputum is abnormal: white? Yellow? Sticky? With blood?... If any abnormality is found, you should go to the hospital for treatment in time.

2. The sputum is too thick to cough up

The solution is simple, just make the phlegm thinner.

In medicine, "expectorants" are often used to thin thick sputum, making it easier to cough up. But there is a disadvantage to this. If the sputum is diluted, the total amount of sputum will increase, and more coughing will be required to cough it out.

Frequent coughing and throat clearing are not good things. The strong airflow impacts the vocal cords, causing them to vibrate violently. Over time, this can lead to congestion of the vocal cords and even vocal polyps, causing varying degrees of hoarseness.

The above is the correct way to spit. As long as you teach your children according to the above method, they will definitely learn to spit.
