How to treat children with tonsillitis and cough

Tonsillitis in children is a disease that is particularly prone to occur in childhood. This disease will recur, especially some children will cough after getting this disease. This situation makes parents particularly worried. During treatment, it is also particularly important to adjust life and diet, which is beneficial to the treatment of children's tonsillitis and cough.

1. When your tonsils are inflamed, you should avoid eating dry, spicy, fried, and other irritating foods, such as ginger, chili, garlic, fried dough sticks, etc. During the acute phase of tonsillitis, the diet should be light, and it is advisable to eat foods that are rich in water and easily absorbed, such as thin rice soup (with salt), fruit juice, sugarcane juice, water chestnut water (powder), mung bean soup, etc. During the chronic stage, it is advisable to eat fresh vegetables, fruits, beans and nourishing foods, such as green vegetables, tomatoes, carrots, soybeans, tofu, soy milk, pears, rock sugar, honey, lily soup, etc.

2. When you feel an abnormal sensation in your throat, you can eat kumquats. Compared with other sour fruits, kumquat peels are quite sweet. Kumquat peel is rich in nutrients, contains vitamin C and calcium, and can eliminate tonsillitis. The fruit contains vitamins A, B1, B2, C and calcium. If it tastes sour when eaten raw, you can add rock sugar or honey to make juice. Kumquat leaves also have medicinal effects. Boiling them into juice and drinking it has a good effect. You can eat pears when you have fever or sore throat. Pears have the effects of reducing fever, moistening the throat and relieving pain, which can alleviate symptoms. Pear juice also has the effect of relieving cough and reducing phlegm. Slice a pear, squeeze the juice and freeze it to make it easier to eat. If you have a fever and are extremely afraid of cold or prone to diarrhea, it is best to drink hot pear juice.

3. The child should pay attention to rest. The indoor temperature should not be too high so that he does not feel cold. The air should be fresh. Do not smoke indoors to reduce irritation to the throat.

The main thing to pay attention to in preventing tonsillitis in children is normal times. Not only should children do more appropriate exercise to improve their physical fitness, but they should also pay attention to strengthening nutrition, adjusting their living habits, and ensuring that they have reasonable exercise time and sufficient sleep time.
