Is it a cause for concern if the baby is breathing heavily?

Nowadays, babies are just born and expectant mothers stay with their children at all times to observe their every condition. Many parents report that their babies have heavy breathing. Since new parents do not understand many situations, they will have such questions: Do you need to pay attention to the baby's heavy breathing? In fact, generally speaking, it is a normal phenomenon, but abnormalities cannot be ruled out. It is recommended to observe in time!

Why is this normal? Because this is also called periodic breathing. During the two or three months of age, your baby's breathing will become more regular, but it may still be heavy. Sometime in the second month, her breathing will be heavier and sound like she has a cold for the first time, but it is not usually.

When you put your hands on her back, you can even feel the gurgling sound coming from her chest. This is a normal sound. It is caused by the accumulation of saliva in the throat, and the gurgling sound is produced when air passes through it due to vibration. If your baby's heavy breathing is due to this normal development, her breathing may sound like it's being blocked, but she won't feel uncomfortable. As long as your baby eats and sleeps well, there is no need to worry about this "blockage". Once your baby learns to swallow excess saliva before teething, the heavy breathing will naturally disappear.

On the other hand, your shorty may be allergic to something in his or her sleeping environment, such as something that attracts dust, like those stuffed animals. You should do some inspection and move away things that attract dust. If your baby's heavy breathing is caused by inflammation of the vocal cords left over from birth, the inhalation sound will be noticeably heavier than the exhalation sound and this sound will occur with every breath. The occasional grunts and short, sharp sounds you describe are normal breathing noises.

No matter what the reason, children will show some abnormal phenomena. The first thing is to observe carefully and not to be overly sensitive and cause unnecessary worry. If this happens for a long time and you feel worried, you can take the child to the hospital for examination. Of course, the most important thing is to provide your child with a comfortable sleeping environment!
