Why is my 7 month old baby retching?

Why is my 7 month old baby retching?

Sometimes we may feel suddenly nauseous, and if we have eaten too much before, we may vomit. Especially after drinking alcohol, vomiting is common. In medicine, there is a situation where you clearly want to vomit, but nothing comes out. This is dry heaving, a disease. So what is the cause of retching in a seven-month-old baby?

First: Abnormal digestive function: systemic infectious diseases, if you suffer from upper respiratory tract infection, pharyngitis, pharyngitis, bronchitis, pneumonia and other diseases, or at the same time as high fever, nausea, loss of appetite, often accompanied by dry retching.

Second: Developmental problems: Due to the functional defects of the lower esophageal sphincter, gastric juice or bile flows back into the esophagus, causing dry retching. For some babies, this may last for several months and then gradually improve.

Third: When bottle-feeding, the hole in the nipple should be of the right size and the nipple must be filled with milk to prevent the baby from inhaling air. If the baby is teething, you can use a nipple with larger holes to drink milk to reduce the pain caused by sucking.

Precautions

According to the symptoms you described, it may be caused by poor digestion function. Your current symptoms suggest that you may have poor digestive function and stomach heat. It is recommended that you take some appetite-stimulating and digestive-aiding drugs. If your symptoms do not improve, it is recommended that you go to the hospital for further examination and treatment.

Causes of retching

1. Irregular life: due to irregular sleep time, unhealthy living habits, long-term fatigue, mental stress, anxiety, and lack of sufficient physical exercise. In the long run, it will damage the body's normal regulatory constitution, thereby reducing the body's disease resistance and easily causing pharyngeal inflammation.

2. Unreasonable diet: irregular eating times, unbalanced nutrition, picky eating or overeating will lead to gastrointestinal dysfunction, thus affecting the absorption and digestion function. In the long run, it will cause physical weakness, susceptibility to colds and fevers, and aggravate pharyngitis.

3. Gastrointestinal diseases: If you suffer from peptic ulcers, gastroenteritis and other diseases, it may cause problems with the respiratory system and cause symptoms of dry retching.

4. Medicines: Long-term use of a certain medicine may contain side effects that cause respiratory problems, so long-term use will cause retching.
