What are the types of cerebral palsy in children?

Children are loved by adults because of their innocence and simplicity, but because their immune systems are still developing, they are very susceptible to diseases. There are many children who are plagued by illness at a very young age. Not only can they not enjoy the joy of playing with other children, but they also bring a great burden to their parents. Today I will introduce to you a children's disease - the types of cerebral palsy in children.

The first type is the atonia type. This type of cerebral palsy is common in infants and young children, and its main manifestations include muscle tone, inability to lift the head and neck normally, weak legs and feet, unstable standing, and strong pathological tendon reflexes. Has very pronounced movement disorders. Typically, patients with atonia also have intellectual disabilities and impaired language and behavioral abilities.

The second type is spastic type. The muscle tension of this type of patients is significantly higher than that of normal children. When their emotions fluctuate or they exert force consciously, their muscle tension will be further increased. Although the patient has great strength when walking, his behavioral span is very small and he lacks balance. In more serious cases, the palms of the hands cannot be stretched out and are twisted in different directions, the arms are severely bent, the head and neck are tilted and cannot be straightened, and the spine is highly deformed. The lower limbs are crossed when walking and the soles of the feet cannot touch the ground.

The third type is tremor in hands and feet. Because these patients' muscle tension is constantly changing, they will experience uncontrollable shaking of their hands and feet. This tremor will be more obvious when they are stimulated externally or try to exert force. The patient has a severe lack of motor skills, slow movements, and facial expressions that change with changes in facial muscle tension. It's like a clown making faces, making people look weird and scary. Furthermore, such patients often have symptoms such as drooling and cheek twitching, and have difficulty chewing and swallowing when eating.

Cerebral palsy in children brings about earth-shaking changes to many families. The birth of a new life is supposed to be a joyful thing, but it becomes very heavy because of this disease. Some parents from poor families can only shed tears silently when looking at their children, but the editor still hopes that they will not give up hope of treatment unless it is absolutely necessary. Hope is more valuable than money.
