Can babies bask in the sun every day?

Children are the flowers of the motherland. When a child is born, the family is destined to be filled with the child's laughter or crying, but the adults are still so happy and filled with happy smiles. During childhood, babies are very fragile. No matter what happens, we should pay attention and not be careless. As parents or elders, what should we pay attention to for babies who can often get sun? You should pay attention to the time and part of your body when sunbathing.

It takes some time for a newborn to adapt to the environment after birth, so it is not suitable to go directly outdoors to bask in the sun in the first two weeks after birth. Wait until the baby adapts to the environment, then you can take the baby out to bask in the sun. There are also six aspects to pay attention to when letting the baby bask in the sun in winter.

1. Suitable time for sunbathing

The best time to expose your baby to the sun is between 6 and 10 am and 4 and 5 pm. From 6 to 10 am, the infrared rays in the sunlight are strong and the ultraviolet rays are weak, which helps promote metabolism. Between 4 and 5 p.m., the X-ray component in ultraviolet rays is high, which can promote the intestinal absorption of calcium and phosphorus, enhance physical fitness, and promote normal bone calcification.

But parents should pay attention that it is best not to let the baby be exposed to the sun for a long time between noon and 4 pm. The ultraviolet rays in the sunlight during this period are the strongest and will cause damage to the skin.

2. How long do you spend in the sun?

The length of time spent in the sun should be determined according to the age of the baby. Parents need to learn to proceed step by step, starting from a dozen minutes or so and gradually increasing to 1-2 hours. You can also sunbathe for 15-30 minutes each time and set a limit on the number of times you want to sunbathe each day.

If parents find that their baby's skin becomes red, the baby sweats excessively, or the pulse speeds up while basking in the sun, they should go home immediately and give the baby cool drinks or light salt water, or wipe the baby's body with warm water. Or you can sunbathe for a while and then go to the shade to rest for a while. Be careful not to stay in the sun for too long.

3. How to sunbathe

Mothers who want to expose their babies to the sun should pay attention. You can let the baby lie on the mattress, first expose the back, then the sides, and finally the chest and abdomen. Initially, tan for 1 minute on each side. In addition, mothers should know that the sun's ultraviolet rays are high and are an "invisible killer" of the skin. Never neglect sun protection for the skin. Therefore, when sunbathing your baby, pay attention to protecting your baby's head and eyes. It is best to cover his head and eyes with a sun hat, and do not let the stimulating sunlight directly onto the eyes to avoid damage to the eyes from strong light.

4. Add or remove clothes for your baby appropriately

When you expose your baby to the sun, you can wear the same amount of clothes as usual to keep your baby warm at first. When your baby's body becomes hot while basking in the sun, you should take off his heavy clothes in time to make him feel comfortable. Otherwise the baby will be bored.

After sunbathing, remember to add clothes for your baby in time, because the pores are open in the sun, and it is easy for the baby to absorb moisture when returning to the cold room, which can easily cause a cold.

All these show that letting babies bask in the sun is a science. Parents and elders should pay attention to these small details so that the baby can grow up healthily and happily. This is also everyone’s common wish!
