2. Local treatment of lymphadenopathy

1. For a few localized, larger, and movable lymph nodes, surgical resection may be considered. Be careful not to damage the accessory nerve during surgery.

2. If a cold abscess has formed but has not yet ruptured, cryptic puncture and drainage of the pus can be performed. The needle is inserted through the normal skin surrounding the abscess. Drain as much pus as possible, and then inject 5% isoflurane solution or 10% streptomycin solution into the abscess cavity for flushing. Leave an appropriate amount in the abscess cavity, twice a week.

3. If a cold abscess ruptures and forms an ulcer or sinus tract, curettage can be performed if the secondary infection is not obvious. Carefully remove all the diseased tissue. The wound was not sutured, and the dressing was changed with streptomycin solution.

4. Patients with cold abscesses and secondary suppurative infection. Incision and drainage are required first, and curettage can be performed if necessary after the infection is controlled.

Nursing measures:

1. Patients with lymph tuberculosis should take medication on time during treatment, should not stop taking medication at will, maintain an optimistic mood, control sexual desire, increase nutrition, eat more high-protein foods, vegetables, and fruits! Enhance disease resistance, pay attention to rest, and avoid excessive fatigue.

2. Improve energy supply. When the condition is serious, you should stay in bed and rest to reduce energy consumption. Poor appetite, high-quality soft food or liquid food should be provided in small and frequent meals. After the condition improves, energy supply should be appropriately increased.

3. Pay attention to the intake of high-quality protein and calcium-rich foods, such as meat, poultry, fish, eggs, soy products and milk. It is not advisable to consume too much fat, and vegetable oil is the best source of fat.
