Neonatal hemolytic disease is a neonatal blood disease caused by the incompatibility of the blood types of the mother and the newborn. The incidence of this disease is not high, but treatment must be timely after it occurs. Delayed treatment will lead to jaundice. Home care for neonatal hemolytic disease is a post-treatment maintenance measure for newborns who have already been treated. Therefore, it is imperative to follow the doctor's advice and care for the child according to the doctor's instructions. 1. Implement routine neonatal care and strictly implement the disinfection and isolation system. 2. Provide care targeted at the cause to prevent the occurrence of kernicterus. (1) Implement phototherapy and exchange transfusion therapy and provide corresponding nursing care. (2) Administer albumin and enzyme inducers as prescribed by the doctor. (3) Correct acidosis to facilitate the combination of bilirubin and albumin and reduce the occurrence of bilirubin encephalopathy. (4) Arrange the fluid replacement plan reasonably and adjust the drip rate according to the different fluid replacement contents. Avoid rapid infusion of hypertonic substances to prevent the blood-brain barrier from temporarily opening, allowing bilirubin that has been linked to albumin to enter the brain tissue. 3. Reasonable feeding: During jaundice, the baby often suffers from weak sucking and poor appetite. Feeding should be done patiently and the feeding method should be adjusted as needed, such as feeding in small amounts and multiple times, intermittent feeding, etc., to ensure milk intake. 4. Observation of the condition: pay attention to the color of the skin, mucous membranes, and sclera, and monitor bilirubin; pay attention to the manifestations of the nervous system. If the child shows early symptoms of bilirubin encephalopathy such as refusal to eat, lethargy, and hypotonia, notify the doctor immediately and be prepared for rescue; observe the frequency, amount, and nature of urination and defecation. If delayed excretion of meconium occurs, enema should be given to promote the excretion of feces and bilirubin. Parents of children with neonatal hemolytic disease must be vigilant and feed the newborn on time and reasonably according to the doctor's instructions; always pay attention to the child and report to the doctor in time if the disease recurs; if the child has difficulty defecating or constipation, you can give the child an enema to help the child defecate through auxiliary methods. |
