What to do if your child has eczema

What to do if your child has eczema

Some parents overprotect their children and do not allow them to get enough ventilation in the winter for fear that they will catch a cold. In fact, this is incorrect. If a child stays in a house with poor ventilation for a long time, he will develop eczema. The symptoms of eczema are redness and itching, and there will be many small red spots, which are difficult to treat. If eczema occurs, be sure to ventilate the room more frequently, reduce the amount of clothing your child wears, and wipe the body with alcohol to disinfect and sterilize.

Wrapping children too tightly will result in poor ventilation. Children's skin is particularly sensitive. When the sweat produced cannot be discharged in time, rashes will form and protrude from the skin. Therefore, children should not be wrapped too tightly, and the amount of clothing should be reduced appropriately.

The material of children's clothes. It is best to choose pure cotton and soft materials for children's clothes, and avoid chemical fibers. In addition, choose special detergents for infants and young children when washing to reduce irritation to children's skin.

Possibly allergic to milk powder. Due to individual differences, children may be allergic to certain milk powders. Some may experience diarrhea, constipation or rashes. In this case, you may want to try a different brand of milk powder.

【bath】

Keep it clean, take a bath with warm water once a day, apply some talcum powder afterwards, and use baby shower gel when washing, do not use soap.

[Sun exposure]

Baby's clothes should be exposed to the sun after washing, and bedding should also be exposed to the sun frequently.

【Pure cotton clothing】

When buying clothes for babies, it is best to choose pure cotton, preferably loose-fitting. Comfortable clothes are not only liked by babies, but also by us adults.

【Suitable temperature】

The indoor temperature should not be too high, and the baby should not be dressed too thickly. Be careful when covering the baby with a blanket at night. Children have stronger internal heat than adults, so the clothes they wear can be thinner than ours. High temperature will make the affected area more itchy. My son Yiyi will wake up in the middle of the night and scratch his whole body.

【Allergens】

Eczema is partly caused by allergies, so parents need to observe the baby's condition to see whether eczema occurs after eating or touching something. Only by discovering the allergens can the child's eczema be reduced.

【Medication】

The above is what parents need to pay attention to. If eczema is severe, the child should be taken to see a doctor, but remember not to use hormone drugs.
