What should we pay attention to when children have small intestinal prolapse?

Children always have some problems when they are young, especially boys. If they have prolapse of the small intestine, many parents will panic and don’t know what to do. They will rush the child to the hospital and ask the doctor to treat it. They don’t pay attention to the cultivation of some habits of the children. Some people will definitely ask, what should we pay attention to when this phenomenon occurs? Let me share it with you!

Enteroptosis is the process by which the small intestine leaves its normal anatomical position and enters another location through a congenital or acquired weakness, defect, or hole.

Increased intracavitary pressure and the presence of congenital body weaknesses or natural channels are the main causes of intestinal prolapse.

Symptoms of intestinal obstruction such as paroxysmal abdominal distension, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and difficulty in anal defecation and flatulence may occur.

1. Avoid drinking strong tea or coffee.

Strong tea and coffee are both central nervous system stimulants that can cause congestion of the gastric mucosa, secretory dysfunction, and mucosal barrier damage through nerve reflexes and direct effects, thereby contributing to the occurrence of ulcers. In addition, foods that are highly irritating to the stomach should be consumed in moderation.

2. Prevent eating too fast.

Chewing slowly is beneficial to the digestion of food. If you eat too fast without fully chewing the food, it will inevitably increase the burden on the stomach. The study also found that chewing slowly increases saliva secretion, which protects the gastric mucosa and prevents damage to the gastric mucosa by adverse irritants.

3. Avoid eating before going to bed.

Eating before going to bed not only affects sleep, but also stimulates gastric acid secretion, which can easily induce ulcers.

4. Prevent unhygienic behavior.

It has been found that Helicobacter pylori infection is the culprit that causes gastritis, ulcers and gastric cancer. It can be transmitted through tableware, toothbrushes, kissing, etc. Therefore, paying attention to hygiene and not using other people's tableware and toothbrushes can prevent Helicobacter pylori infection and thus various stomach diseases.

After reading the introduction above, I believe many parents are already very clear about what to pay attention to when their children have intestinal prolapse. While cooperating with the doctor for active treatment, they must also let their children develop good living habits in normal times and not indulge their children too much. Excessive pampering is a poison that will only lead children into the abyss of disease.
