What should I do if my child has recurrent diarrhea?

If parents are not careful when feeding their children, their children may suffer from diarrhea. Once a child has diarrhea, he will be in great pain and his appetite will decrease a lot. Therefore, it is very important to treat children's diarrhea in time. However, many parents do not know how to treat their children's diarrhea. Improper medication selection or improper diet may make their children's diarrhea worse.

Common treatments for diarrhea in children include:

1. Oral rehydration salt: Contains electrolytes such as sodium, potassium, and chloride. Pour out all the powder in the bag, dissolve it in 500 ml of boiling water, and take a small amount orally at a time.

2. Add salt solution to rice soup: add 1.75g of fine salt to 50ml of rice soup, or add 1.75g of fine salt to 25g of fried rice noodles and 50ml of water, and cook for 2-3 minutes. The general oral dose is 20-40 ml per kilogram of body weight, which should be consumed within 4 hours.

3. Saline solution: 500 ml of clean water, 10 grams of white sugar, 1.75 grams of fine salt, boil, and the oral dosage is the same as before. If a baby with diarrhea shows obvious symptoms such as thirst, few tears, sunken forehead, and anuria, he should go to the hospital immediately to avoid worsening dehydration and endangering his life.

4. Provide good home care. Parents should carefully observe the nature, color, frequency and amount of stool, and keep abnormal stool as specimens for testing to find the cause of diarrhea; pay attention to keeping the abdomen warm to reduce intestinal peristalsis, and wrap the abdomen with a towel or apply a hot water bottle to the abdomen; make sure the baby gets more rest, wash the buttocks with warm water after defecation to prevent diaper rash; diapers should be cleaned, boiled and disinfected, and dried before use.

5. Do not abuse antibiotics. Many mild diarrhea cases can heal themselves without antibiotics or other anti-inflammatory drugs; or by taking microecological preparations such as Mommy Love.

I believe that after the editor’s introduction, parents have a certain understanding of how to improve their children’s diarrhea. Diarrhea can cause great harm to a child's intestines. Therefore, when feeding your child daily, you must pay attention to the food. You must pay attention to the hygiene of the food and whether the child can digest such food. At the same time, do not feed your child irritating food.
