Reasons why babies cry and don't sleep during the day

It is difficult to take care of these babies when they are young, because they will not express if they are uncomfortable. You have to observe from their actions. When your baby cries and refuses to sleep during the day, you should start to pay attention to it and see if it is caused by a disease. So what exactly causes babies to cry and refuse to sleep during the day?

main reason:

1 Check the diaper. The baby may cry because the diaper is wet and uncomfortable

2 Breastfeeding. Hunger and thirst are also the main reasons why children cry.

3 Wrap your baby tightly in a swaddle, hug her and comfort her. Newborns are not adapted to the external environment and feel uncomfortable and insecure.

4 If none of the above works, and the baby continues to cry for a long time, more than 20 minutes, take the baby to the hospital for examination as soon as possible, as the baby may be feeling uncomfortable or sick. Check to see if your baby has a fever. If you have a fever, go to the hospital immediately. A fever in a newborn is very dangerous.

If you can feed and change your newborn's diaper at a regular time and place, he will wake up when it is time to feed, cry and ask for milk, and then fall asleep peacefully after feeding.

When a newborn baby cries, you should first check whether it is time for the baby to feed or drink water. If the baby is hungry or thirsty, the crying will stop immediately after feeding or drinking water. In addition, when a newborn baby keeps crying, you should immediately open the blanket, undress him/her, take off his/her gloves and socks, and check whether the baby's skin is red or swollen, whether there is diaper rash on the buttocks, and whether the seams of the clothes have caught his/her hands and feet. If the diaper is soaked with urine or feces, it should be replaced in time. Some parents like to tie their children up tightly, with their hands and feet tied straight so that they cannot move. After a long time, the children will feel uncomfortable and cry. Do not wrap the child tightly, let his limbs move, as exercise can promote brain activity. If all these aspects have been adjusted and the child still continues to cry, or if the child has symptoms such as fever, abdominal distension, diarrhea, difficulty breathing or poor complexion, he should be taken to the hospital immediately to check for abnormal lesions.

Lack of trace elements and low blood calcium levels will cause increased excitability of the brain and autonomic nerves, resulting in the baby's restless sleep at night. Calcium and vitamin D supplementation are needed. If calcium is deficient, the baby's fontanelle will not close well; if zinc is deficient, the corners of the mouth will generally ulcerate.

Through the above, we understand the reasons why babies cry and don’t sleep during the day, so as her mother, you should pay special attention to some of these reasons, so that you can take effective care of her and avoid delaying the treatment of her illness.
