Can anal fissures in children heal on their own?

Can anal fissures in children heal on their own?

Anal fissure is a relatively common anal disease. If a child has anal fissure, parents should help the child in time. Children's mild anal fissures can actually heal on their own, but if the disease becomes more serious, it must be treated in time to avoid affecting a wider area.

If an infant has anal fissure within one year old, it should be mild and can heal on its own. Parents do not need to worry too much. In daily life, they should pay attention to diet, drink more boiled water, eat more fruits and vegetables, and keep the stool soft and fine, and the condition will recover slowly. Anal fissure in children is mostly caused by long-term constipation. You can give your baby a warm water bath for about five minutes every day, and use your fingers to do circular massage on the baby's anus. This can promote blood circulation in the anus and accelerate the recovery of anal fissure wounds.

After an infant develops anal fissure, if you want it to heal itself, you must pay attention to alleviating the baby's constipation symptoms and cultivate the baby's good habit of defecating on time. If the baby is afraid to defecate, it will aggravate the symptoms of constipation, and the stool will become drier and drier, thereby aggravating the symptoms of anal fissure. Over time, chronic anal fissures will form. Once it reaches the chronic stage, the possibility of self-healing is very low. Therefore, you must cultivate the baby's bowel habits.

Scientific feeding and breastfeeding should be carried out. Babies should be breastfed as much as possible before six months of age. After adding complementary foods, the dietary structure should be reasonable according to their physiological characteristics, with adequate protein and carbohydrate intake to prevent constipation symptoms in children and keep the anus clean to avoid infection.

The occurrence of anal fissure brings great harm to our health. Therefore, in our daily life, we must attach great importance to the occurrence of anal fissure, actively take relevant treatment measures, do relevant nursing work, develop good living habits and eating habits, and do not eat irritating and spicy foods.
