2.5-year-old baby development standard

During the growth process of a child, parents are more concerned about whether the baby's growth and development is healthy and normal. Therefore, they will judge the baby's development status in many aspects. When the baby is at different age groups, the standards for judging the baby's development status will be somewhat different. When the baby is 2 and a half years old, he or she will have certain performance in cognitive ability, language ability and emotion.

2.5-year-old baby development standard

1. Cognitive ability

The baby can classify items with different purposes, but the classification is still limited to the purpose of the items, such as eating, wearing, using, playing, etc. This shows that the baby has initially acquired analytical and comprehensive abilities. The baby's thinking ability has greatly improved, and he can often draw inferences from one instance to another. For example, when talking about cats, the baby will associate cats with the ability to catch mice, that their food is mice, and that they have seen mice at the neighbor's house, etc. Babies can also draw some simple shapes, such as a square, and seal the mouth, but the four corners are relatively blunt; they can also draw a complete human body structure. Although the proportions are not harmonious, the basic positions have been found correctly.

2. Language skills

Has learnt to use a lot of vocabulary and can say simple phrases.

3. Emotions

Some babies are keen on playing house games. Several babies get together, some pretending to be fathers, some pretending to be mothers, and some pretending to be children. They buy groceries and arrange dinner for guests. From imitating their parents' cooking, babies also learn the ability to cooperate with others. These are all manifestations of babies' independent behavior. Your baby's ability to concentrate for a while enables him to participate in complex social interactions.

4. Sports ability

The baby's basic movements are already very agile, and he walks by swinging his arms like an adult. Your baby has developed good balance and can bounce and roll a ball, but still has difficulty catching it. Baby can also fiddle with some of the large buttons, snaps and zippers. The baby's sense of space improves rapidly, and he can successfully pour water and rice from one cup into another, and rarely spills them. In terms of fine motor skills, some babies can use scissors to cut paper. The baby can also split steamed buns or bread into two. Some babies can already wash their faces and feet by themselves, put on their shirts by themselves, button them, and distinguish left from right.
