Complete knowledge of baby's hearing

Nowadays, every child is the treasure of the family, so the health of the child has become the most concerning issue for parents. However, recently many parents have reported that their children have poor hearing, so parents are very worried, but there is no solution. So today we will introduce to you why babies feel pain due to poor hearing. What should we do when we encounter this situation?

The ears are far from the most favored of our five senses, yet it is because a newborn can hear and recognize his mother's voice that he feels safe from the moment he is born. Because he has gradually learned to recognize the sound of his mother preparing the bottle, he will be less anxious when waiting to feed. Similarly, after several months of input into the timbre and rhythm of his native language, he begins to learn to speak and communicate with his mother and the outside world.

1. The factors that affect fetal hearing are as follows:

The interference of mother's gastrointestinal movements and heartbeat. Fortunately, these sounds are around 30 decibels, more like whispers in your ears than a symphony. Over time, the fetus will no longer have any strong feelings, a bit like residents who have lived by the sea for a long time and eventually can no longer hear the sound of the waves.

The reflex of the mother's abdominal wall. The abdominal wall reduces outside sounds by about 20 decibels.

Finally, we should also know that the fetus is a little "hard of hearing" and his hearing is 20 to 30 decibels lower than that of an adult.

These small obstacles make the loud shouting outside sound like just a whisper to the fetus. From this we can see that it is relatively difficult for the fetus to hear the father's bass, while the mother's voice is much easier to distinguish, although this sound has all the high frequencies "removed" and appears a little distorted.

2. Newborns are a little hard of hearing

At birth, a baby's hearing is better than in the womb, but it is still much weaker than that of an adult. The hearing of a 3-month-old baby is 15 to 30 decibels lower than that of the mother and father. In other words, a 3-month-old baby cannot hear adults whispering.

He also has his preferences when it comes to audio: He listens to the mid-range frequencies, namely the human voice and music. Both high and low frequencies are screened out. For example, he had difficulty hearing the sound of a whistle or the rumble of thunder. There is currently no clear scientific explanation for this surprising discovery. However, this is not a disaster for the baby, because it allows him to better hear the sounds that are most useful to him: the voices of the caregivers around him, the hypnotic songs hummed by his mother to lull him to sleep.

The above are some symptoms of poor hearing in babies and simple treatment methods introduced to us by professionals. Therefore, parents who are still troubled by this problem may wish to refer to the content above. Parents should also pay more attention to their children's physical condition. If a disease occurs, immediate treatment is needed, but medication should not be used blindly. I hope the above content can help you.
