Male baby's genitals are red

Parents should not only pay attention to the private hygiene of baby girls, but also pay great attention to the private hygiene of baby boys, because the genitals of baby boys are in a very fragile state. If you do not pay attention to the private hygiene at this time, it will easily cause problems with the genitals of baby boys. Some parents found that their baby boys' genitals turned red when they were taking them to urinate. What disease could be causing this?

Private cleaning steps

Step 1: After your baby has a bowel movement, first wipe the area around the anus. First, wet a soft towel with warm water and wipe away the dirt around the anus.

Step 2: Use your hands to straighten the penis and gently wipe the base and the areas inside where dirt and grime are likely to hide, but don't use too much force.

Step 3: Dirt is easy to accumulate in the wrinkles of the scrotal epidermis. Mothers can use their fingers to gently spread out the wrinkles and wipe them. After the penis is completely dry, put on a clean and breathable diaper.

Cleaning precautions

(1) The water temperature should be appropriate: The water temperature for bathing the baby should be controlled at 38-40 degrees Celsius. This not only protects the baby's skin from being scalded by hot water, but also protects the scrotum from being scalded. When taking a bath, be sure to control the water temperature. At the same time, you need to rinse after each bowel movement.

(2) Cleaning the foreskin and glans penis: There is no need to clean the foreskin of the baby before he is one year old, because the foreskin and glans penis are still grown together at this time. Turning over the tender foreskin too early will hurt the baby's genitals. After one year old, it should be cleaned every few days, but only when the baby is emotionally stable. When cleaning, the mother gently pinches the middle section of the penis with the thumb and index finger of her right hand, gently pushes the foreskin back toward the child's abdominal wall, so that the glans and coronal sulcus are completely exposed, and then gently cleans it with warm water. After washing, be sure to restore the foreskin to its original position.

(3) Do not squeeze: The baby's "little chicken" (also known as the penis) is covered with tendons and fibrous tissue and is exposed to the outside of the body, making it very fragile. When bathing, new parents can easily squeeze or pinch these parts of the baby's body due to nervousness or panic, and accidentally use force with their hands. Therefore, special attention is required.

(4) Focus cleaning: The focus of cleaning should be the places where dirt and grime are most likely to accumulate. Therefore, you should gently lift up the penis and gently scrub the base. Also, the area under the scrotum is also a "hidden" place, including the area near the groin, where urine and sweat often accumulate.

Nursing precautions

(1) When wearing a diaper, be sure to press the penis down so that it rests on the scrotum. The purpose of doing this is to prevent the baby's urine from washing up and wetting his clothes when he urinates. In addition, it can also help the baby's penis remain in a natural drooping state to avoid affecting the appearance of his clothes in the future.

(2) In addition to the fact that toilet water is somewhat irritating, like talcum powder, this type of thing can easily make the already hot and humid diapers even more moist. Talcum powder can also easily clump with sweat and clog pores.

(3) If your baby is no longer wearing diapers, it is best to wipe up the urine with clean toilet paper after urinating to keep it dry.

(4) Even boys should have their own washing utensils, towels, basins, etc.
