What is the reason why children often blink?

Blinking is an instinctive action of human beings and a normal physiological activity of the eye muscles. When the human body feels discomfort in the glasses, it will blink reflexively, which is the normal muscle activity of the human body. If you find that your child always blinks frequently, don't think that he is simply imitating others. It may be a symptom of a certain disease. At this time, parents should pay attention to it.

When many parents find their children blinking frequently, they think that this is a bad habit that the children learned when interacting with others. If we don't realize that this is a disease, we will force our children to change their bad habits. This delays the child's treatment. Experts on children's ADHD and tics say that tics are a disease, and frequent blinking in children is the first symptom of multiple tics. Facial tics may then appear, and then gradually spread to the neck, shoulders, trunk or limbs, developing from simple tics to complex tics. This is more difficult to treat.

The cause of childhood tics is a disease in which a group of muscle groups twitch repeatedly and alternately, accompanied by involuntary vocalization, due to a defect in the extrapyramidal system of the nerves. In addition to frequent blinking, the eyes will turn to one side, accompanied by sticking out the tongue, opening the mouth, pouting, nodding, shaking the head, frowning, shrinking the nose, stretching the neck, shrugging the shoulders, sticking out the chest, and taking a deep breath. Severe children may also have complex tics in various forms, such as: shaking the whole body like electric shock, turning the waist and hips, walking in circles, squatting and kneeling, compulsively touching things, stomping the feet, etc. In addition, vocal tics generally manifest as humming, barking, ahing, throat clearing, coughing, sniffing, spitting, etc. Complex vocalizations may also occur, such as the constant repetition of meaningless language.

Frequent blinking in children is a disease. The above are some causes and symptoms of frequent blinking in children introduced by experts. If parents find that their children have the above symptoms, they must not think that it is just a simple blink. In fact, these are just the beginning of the disease. Parents must treat this matter correctly, take their children to the hospital in time, and do not delay the best treatment time to avoid unnecessary consequences.
