Why does a one-month-old baby cry and refuse to sleep?

Recently, my baby has been crying and refusing to sleep at night, which makes me particularly distressed. I don’t know why my baby is like this. Since I don’t have much experience, I am at a loss and don’t know what to do, so I looked up some information and organized some summary.

The baby is sick

If a baby is sick, his crying will be different from usual. A baby who did not cry much before will suddenly cry loudly - especially when he is in pain, such as when he suffers from middle ear pain, hip dislocation at birth, or colic.

Not enough milk

Generally, if the baby is satisfied after feeding, he will fall asleep immediately. If he wakes up again and cries for feeding in about an hour, this type of crying baby may not get enough milk. The improvement method is:

Check whether the baby is positioned properly when breastfeeding - an improper position may prevent the baby from getting enough milk.

Mothers can arrange breastfeeding time well, feed their babies more often, or use other methods to increase milk secretion. If you breastfeed more often, you will get more milk and your baby will be more satisfied.

Babies cry because they grow too fast in a period of time and cannot get enough milk. Some experts call this a "breastfeeding crisis." It is most common in babies aged 2 to 3 months. These babies suddenly cry and want to be fed all the time, seem to be hungrier than before, and sometimes have a flat growth curve.

These conditions may be caused by the baby growing too fast and relatively insufficient breast milk. If the mother can increase the number of breastfeeding times over a few days, the amount of breast milk will increase and be able to meet the baby's needs.

The above are some of the conclusions I have made. If your baby also has the above conditions, first make a preliminary judgment for the baby based on the above methods. Of course, you can also use the method of elimination. At present, this is a more effective way. Finally, I wish every baby can have a healthy body.
