(ii) Language training: Point out the pronunciation parts of a certain language, demonstrate the mouth shape, and ask the patient to imitate; make correct sounds for the patient to imitate; find out the sounds that are difficult for the patient to pronounce and those that are easy to mispronounce from the speech test, and patiently teach and correct them. It is advisable to use individual tutoring methods, including training using the phoneme decomposition method and the pinyin method.

(III) Language practice: Correct incorrect language and patiently teach daily language, which can be trained through question and answer.

(iv) Training on naming objects: Ask questions one by one using small objects or pictures from daily life. If the patient does not know how to answer, give him/her guidance and ask him/her to imitate and say the name of the object. Practice repeatedly.

(V) Word reading practice: Show word cards of varying degrees of simplicity and complexity to guide the patient to read the pronunciation of the word.

(VI) Conversation practice: Conduct short conversations in daily life to train listening and speaking skills, provide language stimulation, elicit responses from patients, and pay attention to correcting pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammatical errors during the conversation.

(VII) Reading practice: Read newspaper headlines or short paragraphs of articles, paying attention to correcting incorrect pronunciation and improving fluency.

After understanding the treatment methods for children with intellectual disability, the above methods can be used to treat children with intellectual disability.
