How to check for sciatica in infants

It is very important to have a physical examination before treating a disease, so that the correct method can be chosen for the treatment of the disease. Otherwise, when you don't understand your own disease, you will choose the treatment method at will, which will not help improve the disease. Many people are not familiar with infantile cardia relaxation. This kind of disease has a great impact on the patient's body. After suffering from it, it is necessary to improve it in time. What are the examination methods for infantile cardia relaxation?

How to check for sciatica in infants:

1. Blood routine test:

Anemia may be found in the peripheral blood, and in case of aspiration pneumonia, there may be infection blood test, increased white blood cell count and increased neutrophil count.

2. X-ray examination:

In the early stages of the disease, chest X-ray may show no abnormalities. As the esophagus dilates, a bulge may be seen at the upper right edge of the mediastinum on a posteroanterior chest radiograph. When the esophagus is highly dilated, extended, and curved, the mediastinum may be seen to widen and exceed the right edge of the heart, which can sometimes be misdiagnosed as a mediastinal tumor. When a large amount of food and gas is retained in the esophagus, the bubbles in the stomach disappear and a fluid level can be seen in the esophagus. In most cases, the gastric bubble disappears.

3. Barium meal examination:

Barium esophageal contrast is an important diagnostic test in cases of achalasia. During the examination, attention should be paid to the morphological and functional characteristics of the esophageal body and distal sphincter.

Barium meal often has difficulty passing through the cardia and is retained at the lower end of the esophagus, appearing as a 1-3 cm long, symmetrical, mucosal-striated funnel-shaped stenosis. The upper esophagus shows varying degrees of dilation, length, and curvature, with no peristaltic waves. If hot drinks are given, nitroglycerin tablets are taken sublingually, or amyl nitrite is inhaled, the esophageal cardia will relax; if cold drinks are given, it will be more difficult for the cardia to relax. Retained food residues may appear as filling defects during barium meal radiography, so esophageal drainage and lavage should be performed before examination.

The main X-ray features of achalasia are the disappearance of esophageal peristalsis, the failure of the distal sphincter to relax during swallowing, and the retention of barium at the gastroesophageal junction. The wall of this part of the tube is smooth, and the lumen suddenly narrows and changes into a bird's beak shape.

After understanding the examination methods for infantile acetalasis, medication is a good choice to improve infantile acetalasis. However, during the treatment of this type of disease, family members must take comprehensive care of the patients so that any abnormal conditions in the patient's body can be discovered in time and will not cause too much harm to the patient's body.
