Introduction to the rapid growth period of infants

Babies go through a period of rapid growth and development before they are one to two years old. So when is the rapid growth period for babies? Many parents don’t know much about this. At this stage, parents must learn more about parenting, provide their children with a comfortable living environment, do a good job in their children’s nutritional health care, and ensure that their children have adequate nutrition. Let’s analyze this in detail.

Different systems have different developmental periods. Height and weight increase fastest in the first six months after birth, followed by the second half of the year. The growth stabilizes until the age of 2 and accelerates again during puberty. The brain grows fastest in the first year after birth. The cerebellum is poorly developed at birth, reaches its peak growth 6 months after birth, and then slows down. The cerebellum reaches adult levels at 6 years old.

The skeletal system, such as the spine, develops faster than the limbs in the first year after birth. The limbs then develop faster than the spine until the spine naturally bends at the age of 6-7 and is then fixed by ligaments. The number of fat cells in adipose tissue reaches its peak at the end of the first year after birth, and the volume of fat cells expands rapidly in the late fetal period. Muscle tissue begins to develop rapidly at 3 or 4 months, but still slowly; muscle growth is only significant before school age, and development is particularly rapid during school age and puberty.

The development of infants and young children is a gradual process, a continuous and phased process, and also a process of orderly change. For example, after the baby is born, the growth of the head is ahead of the limbs and trunk, and the development of the baby's vision, taste, hearing and other sensory perceptions as well as movement runs through all stages of the baby's development.

I hope that the above analysis and introduction about the rapid growth period of infants will be of some help to parents. I also hope that parents will learn more about relevant experience in their daily lives so that they can raise their babies to be white and plump and let their children grow up healthily.
