What are the criteria for children's physical examination?

Children usually like to play and fight. Because they are curious and like to move around, they often touch and take things randomly. So at this time, parents should pay attention and give their children regular physical examinations. Ensuring their health is the most important thing. If you don’t know when you should get a check-up, then take a look at the information I provide below, which may be able to help you.

1. Formula for calculating children's weight:

1-6 months weight (kg) = birth weight + (0.6 × age in months)

Weight at 6-12 months (kg) = birth weight + (0.5 × age in months)

Weight between 2 and 10 years old (kg) = age × 2 + 7

2. Closure time of fontanelle in children

Newborn: 1.5×2CM

Front fontanel: 1.5 years old

Posterior Fontanel: 3-4 months

3. The time of tooth eruption in children

Newborn babies have no teeth. Babies start to teethe around 6 months old. When children are teething, they often experience restlessness, loss of appetite, itchy gums, and increased saliva. At this time, special attention should be paid to children's oral hygiene to avoid oral diseases caused by infection. Generally, teeth erupt in pairs in a certain order and time. Lower teeth erupt earlier than the upper teeth of the same name. By the age of two and a half, all 20 deciduous teeth have grown out. As we age, our baby teeth have completed their mission. Under normal circumstances, it will fall off on time. At the same time, permanent teeth erupt following the position of deciduous teeth. All 20 deciduous teeth will be replaced around the age of 6-13. In addition, a new permanent molar grew behind the last deciduous tooth, making a total of 32 permanent teeth in the mouth. Unless there are pathological changes or accidental damage to permanent teeth, they will remain permanently intact and will not fall out.

4. Children's breathing, heart rate and blood pressure

(1) Normal respiratory value

Newborn: 40-44 times/min1*3 years old: 25-30 times/min

5 years old: 25 times/min 6 years old: 18-20 times/min

(2) Normal heart rate

Newborn: 120-160 beats/min

6-12 months: 120-130 times/min

2-3 years old: 90-110 times/min

4-5 years old: 80-100 times/min

14 years old: 70-80 times/min

<!--[if !supportLists]-->(3)<!--[endif]-->Normal blood pressure value

Calculation formula for children over 10 years old: Systolic blood pressure (mmHg) = 80 + (age × 2)

(kPa) = (80 + age × 2) × 0.13322 Diastolic pressure = Systolic pressure × 2/3~3/5

As parents, we should observe our children's reactions every day, but not monitor them. Because parents are the closest people to their children, they should be the first to notice any differences between them. The above are the standards for normal children. If you find that your child does not meet any of the above requirements one day, please remember to go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible. Don't waste time and make a big mistake.
