When the baby's nose is blocked, it will be difficult for him to eat milk or drink water, and the mother will definitely be very anxious. When this happens, first check whether there is any mucus in the baby's nostrils. If there is mucus in the baby's nostrils, you can use a cotton swab dipped in clean water or sesame oil to gently wipe his nostrils, or put a hot and wet towel in front of his nose to cover it for a while. If your baby's nostrils are clean, letting your baby smell something cool or minty can sometimes temporarily relieve nasal congestion. 1. Drink scallion water. Take 5 green onions, remove the white parts and wash them, add 40 ml of water, bring to a boil and then simmer for 3 minutes, add a small amount of sugar, put it in the bottle, and let the baby drink when the temperature is right. 2. Saline nose drops. Put 1 teaspoon of salt in 240 ml of warm water, put it in an empty eye drops bottle, hold the baby upright, drop 1 drop into each nostril, then let the baby lie down for a while and use a nasal washer to suck out the secretions. 3. Wipe your nose with wet wipes. Prepare a small towel, soak it with warm water, and then gently press and rub the baby's nose. Repeat this process many times. The snot or nasal congestion will be softened by water and can be easily wiped off. When using cotton swabs to treat a baby's stuffy nose, be careful not to let the cotton swab hurt the nasal mucosa. Babies will use sneezing to clear foreign objects from their nostrils, and they will also sneeze when suddenly exposed to cold air. This is normal and there is no need to worry unless they have a runny nose. Letting your baby breathe in some moist steam can also make it easier to clear nasal secretions and relieve nasal congestion symptoms. You can put hot water in the bathroom to create steam, and let your baby inhale it for 3 to 5 minutes before clearing the snot. Pay attention to the problem of dry air, which will make the baby's nose uncomfortable, so the room needs humidification. |
