Can children eat mulberries?

Mulberry is a dark-colored food. Although it is small in size, it plays a huge role in nutrition and health. In real life, some people have indeed solved some physical problems by eating mulberries, especially for women who need beauty and skin care, it has a very good effect. But for babies with poor body resistance, can mulberries be eaten?

Mulberries have the effects of improving eyesight, moistening the intestines, regulating immunity and promoting the growth of hematopoietic cells. So can babies eat mulberries? Babies can eat mulberries, but in moderation. Moreover, when you first start adding fruit juice to your baby's complementary food, it is not recommended to add mulberries at the beginning. You should wait until the baby is suitable for common fruit juices before adding mulberry juice.

Mulberries are rich in nutrients, containing large amounts of fructose, vitamins and various minerals, especially precious "anthocyanins". Anthocyanins are strong antioxidants that can accelerate the regeneration of "rhodopsin" on the retina, thereby improving the baby's visual acuity and brightening the eyes. Babies with indigestion can also eat some mulberries to help digestion.

Babies can eat mulberries, but they must be eaten in moderation. When eating, it is recommended to divide the daily amount of mulberries into several days for the baby to eat, rather than eating too much at one time. One reason is that mulberries are cold in nature and difficult to digest. Eating too much will affect the baby's gastrointestinal digestion and damage the baby's spleen and stomach, especially for babies who already have weak spleen and stomach. The second reason is that mulberries contain a large amount of trypsin inhibitor - tannic acid, which will affect the baby's absorption of iron, calcium, zinc and other substances. If your baby experiences severe abdominal pain or diarrhea after eating, especially if the stool is bloody, you should send your baby to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment immediately.
