Prevention of dementia in children

Prevention of dementia in children

Childhood dementia is relatively common in our lives. Its main cause is due to our parents' close relative marriage or advanced pregnancy. It is difficult to cure childhood dementia in our daily life, so our best way is to prevent it from happening and learn more about the baby's body and brain development before the baby is born.

Dementia in children is also known as dementia. It is caused by congenital deficiency or improper postnatal care. A fatigue-related disease with mental retardation as the main symptom in children. The disease is equivalent to what Western medicine calls mental retardation. Dementia is not only a complex disease, but also has a long course. Especially for those who suffer from it during pregnancy, it often becomes a chronic disease.

1. Discourage marriage between close relatives. The possibility of both parties being carriers of disease-causing genes increases, making their offspring more likely to suffer from mental retardation.

2. Avoid advanced pregnancy. The incidence of chromosomal diseases in children born to pregnant women over 35 to 40 years old is significantly higher, and the chances of complications during pregnancy and delivery will also increase, making the chances of giving birth to children with mental retardation higher accordingly. Therefore, it is best to avoid advanced pregnancy. If women over 35 years old become pregnant, they should undergo prenatal diagnosis in the early stages of pregnancy. If chromosomal abnormalities are found, the pregnancy should be terminated in a timely manner.

3. Strengthen prenatal care to avoid unexpected situations that affect fetal development. Therefore, you should maintain a happy mood, pay attention to nutrition, quit smoking and drinking, prevent infectious diseases, prevent poisoning, avoid taking teratogenic drugs, and minimize exposure to radiation; also actively prevent and treat various pregnancy complications, do prenatal examinations, and reduce pathological deliveries.

4. Improve children's health care. Children should undergo regular health checks and health consultations to detect and eliminate hidden dangers at an early stage. It is necessary to strengthen the nutrition of infants and young children, prevent infectious diseases, and prevent poisoning or head trauma.

5 Pay attention to infant education. Early childhood education is of great significance to spiritual growth. It is especially noteworthy that: providing adequate language stimulation in a timely manner starting from 2 months after the baby is born has an important promoting effect on language development; whether the relationship between mother and baby in the early infancy (especially before six months old) is good has an important impact on whether the interpersonal relationships can be handled well in the future; psychological development before the age of 5 is of key significance to the formation of the entire personality.

6. Carry out prenatal diagnosis in early pregnancy by performing amniocentesis and taking amniotic cells for short-term culture for chromosome analysis or biochemical examination. This can make a prenatal diagnosis of chromosomal abnormalities or congenital metabolic disorders and perform artificial abortion in a timely manner.

I hope everyone will remember the above-introduced methods for preventing childhood dementia in their daily lives, and explain them to your friends when necessary. If we encounter a disease like childhood dementia in life, we recommend that you use surgical treatment to adjust it, but the effect still depends on the child's performance.
