There is a hard lump behind the child's ear

Children themselves often don’t care or worry much about some things that happen to them, but this makes their parents extremely worried. Therefore, parents will regularly check their children's conditions in their daily lives. Some parents find that there are lumps behind their children's ears. This situation makes parents very worried. So what is the matter with the lumps behind the children's ears?

Sometimes you can feel some lumps of varying sizes behind the baby's ears, neck, under the jaw, and at the base of the thighs. Most of them are mobile and can slide under the skin. These small lumps are lymph nodes.

Determine whether your child's lymph nodes are normal from the following points.

First: size. Lymph nodes the size of soybeans or little fingers can usually be felt behind the ears, on the back of the head, or under the jaw of children.

Second: activity level. Normal lymph nodes have good mobility. If there is adhesion, it is considered to be pathological lymph node enlargement.

Third: Is there any tenderness? Normal lymph nodes are not tender. If there is tenderness, children will often cry or report pain when touched. If your baby can be touched and is also in pain, I personally recommend that you see a doctor to rule out inflammation as the cause first.

What to do if you find swollen lymph nodes?

Pay attention to nutrition, strengthen your physical fitness and prevent colds or other infections. The best way is to work hard on your baby's diet and eat more foods that enhance immunity to regulate the body. Eat more natural foods, vegetables and fruits rich in vitamins and minerals. In addition, do not let your baby develop a picky eating habit which may lead to nutritional imbalance. I prepare some swelling-reducing foods for my baby, such as soft-cooked mung bean soup, white fungus soup, kelp and tofu soup, and eat more fruits and protein foods to enhance immunity. Only a healthy immune system can help your baby resist pathogenic bacteria and viruses and stay away from diseases.
