Symptoms of a fever

Fever is not only caused by some colds, it may be some infections produced by the immune system. Colds are not the only cause of fever, it may also cause some other types of diseases, which will also cause the temperature to rise, but it must be treated in time in life. At the same time, it is mainly some physiological stress reactions. Fever in life may affect the health of the body, so you must pay attention to some symptoms of fever in life.

Fever is mainly caused by infection with some other types of diseases, so in daily life, it is necessary to carry out timely treatment and diagnosis. As for the whereabouts of fever, it is necessary to carry out timely prevention according to different definitions and some types of fever caused by different organs.

Fever, also known as fever in medical terms. Fever supports the immune system in fighting infectious agents and prevents temperature-sensitive viruses and bacteria from replicating successfully in the body.

However, infection is not the only cause of fever. For example, amphetamine abuse and alcohol withdrawal can both cause a rise in body temperature. Environmental stress can also cause heat stroke and related illnesses.

The hypothalamus, located at the base of the brain, acts as the body's thermostat. It is stimulated by mobile biochemical substances called pyrogens that travel through the bloodstream from potential lesions recognized by the immune system. Human tissues produce some pyrogens, as do many pathogens. Once the hypothalamus detects a pyrogen, it tells the body to increase metabolism to generate more heat and reduce blood flow around it to maintain the heat, leading to a fever. Typically, children have more severe and more frequent fevers, reflecting the effects of pathogens on untested immune systems.

A folk proverb says: "It is better to eat when you have a cold, and it is better to be hungry when you have a fever." Should people with a fever really eat less or not eat at all as the folk proverb says? The answer is yes. When you have a fever, all the functions of the human body are mobilized during the period of increased physiological stress response. Digestive stimulation during this heightened physiological stress response can overstimulate the parasympathetic nervous system at a time when the sympathetic nervous system is already activated; during a fever, the body may mistake substances absorbed from the intestines for allergens; and finally, excessive fever can occasionally cause cramps, collapse, and confusion, all of which can be further exacerbated by eating.

Sometimes, a fever can be severe enough to affect your health. For example, a fever over 105 degrees Fahrenheit can threaten the integrity and function of important proteins. Cellular stress, infarction (heart attack), tissue necrosis, seizures, and mental instability are all potential adverse consequences. If the fever is too severe to cool down the body, using a "cooling blanket" and other methods may be helpful.

The above are the common symptoms of fever. We must do some targeted treatments and promptly treat and diagnose the type of fever in daily life. Fever in daily life is very critical to the occurrence of some diseases. We must adjust our diet and exercise to ensure normal nutritional intake.
