Causes of malnutrition in babies:

Due to insufficient nutrient intake, the body's digestion and absorption functions are imperfect, and the body's glycogen is mobilized, followed by consumption of fat and protein, leading to a negative nitrogen balance. Plasma protein, blood sugar, and cholesterol all decrease, and the basal metabolism is only 70% or lower of that of normal children. The digestive tract motility and secretory functions of malnourished children are weakened, and the humoral cellular immune function is low.

Long-term improper diet, insufficient calories, artificial feeding based on mainly cereal foods of poor quality and small quantity, insufficient breast milk, improper addition of complementary foods, hasty weaning, and infants' inability to adapt. Digestive system diseases, congenital malformations, cleft lip, cleft palate, pyloric stenosis, cardia relaxation, feeding difficulties, imperfect digestive function, malabsorption, enteritis, dysentery, parasites, hepatitis and other digestive tract infectious diseases. Chronic wasting diseases, recurrent pneumonia, tuberculosis, etc. Malnutrition can also occur due to long-term fever, loss of appetite, reduced intake and excessive consumption. Other situations such as premature birth and twins are congenital conditions of malnutrition. Severe malnutrition is caused by a variety of reasons.

After it occurs, the baby's body should be adjusted in all aspects, and mothers also need to pay attention to reasonable arrangements for the baby's diet. This will be of great help to improve the baby's physical fitness when eating.
