True myopia and pseudomyopia

True myopia and pseudomyopia

After the appearance of true myopia and false myopia, it has caused serious damage to people's eyesight. But how to distinguish true myopia from false myopia? There are still many differences between true myopia and false myopia. Pseudomyopia is actually a functional disease that causes the disease to occur in the bodies of adolescents, so we should pay attention to this knowledge.

There are many differences between true myopia and pseudomyopia. The main factor causing this astrological myopia is decreased distance vision and better near vision. Pseudomyopia is functional, and this disease mostly occurs in adolescents. Vision will deteriorate within one to two months, and can be recovered to a certain extent after proper rest.

Pseudomyopia is a fatigue state before true myopia. If this state cannot be relieved in time, organic changes in the eyes will form true myopia. Mydriasis optometry is required to determine true and false myopia. Some parents worry that mydriasis is harmful to their children's eyes. In fact, the purpose of mydriasis is to relieve eye fatigue and relax tense muscles, so that the refractive power tested is accurate. If the naked eye vision can reach 1.0 after mydriasis, it is "pseudomyopia" and can be cured in a short time. For example, drugs, acupuncture, ear acupuncture and physical therapy equipment can relax muscles, relieve fatigue and restore vision to normal. If you don't want to treat it, as long as you look into the distance frequently and pay attention to rest, your vision may also be restored.

However, if the naked eye vision is lower than 0.8 after dilation, it is "true myopia". Once true myopia is formed, it is irreversible. It is an organic change in the eyeball. The anterior-posterior axis of the eyeball becomes longer, and external objects are imaged in front of the retina through the refractive system of the eye. There is no clear image on the retina, and of course there will be no good vision. Except for surgery, this organic change cannot be shortened by any method or change the refractive power. This is why myopia is difficult to cure.

After experiencing true myopia and false myopia in daily life, we first need to distinguish the differences between true myopia and false myopia. And timely and reasonable treatment and prevention are the key. We hope that by combining prevention and treatment, we can avoid these adverse phenomena and restore our eyesight.
