Why do children have blisters in their mouths?

Why do children have blisters in their mouths?

With the change of weather, especially in autumn and winter, the increase of bacteria and lack of attention to hygiene often cause many problems in the human oral cavity. Children in particular do not have this kind of health awareness, and may eat some junk food and infect other children, which makes it very easy for them to get mouth inflammation and blisters. So, what is the specific reason? Let’s take a closer look below.

Due to the unpredictable weather temperature, and the fact that children have few antibodies and weak resistance, they are easily prone to getting angry. The simplest way is to drink more boiled water, which is very effective, or you can follow the doctor's advice. Generally speaking, eating spicy, stimulating, and cold foods can easily cause getting inflamed, which is related to one's physical condition and requires timely symptomatic treatment. Maintain healthy and reasonable eating habits, eat light and easily digestible food, and avoid spicy, irritating, raw or cold food.

It is also possible that herpetic stomatitis is caused by the herpes virus, in which small blisters appear on the gums, buccal mucosa, tongue, palate, and pharynx. After the herpes breaks, it becomes an ulcer covered with light yellow secretions and a circle of red next to it. Children often refuse to eat due to the severe pain caused by oral ulcers. The oral mucosa is stimulated by inflammation, which increases saliva secretion and aggravates the drooling phenomenon in children. The treatment of herpetic stomatitis mainly focuses on controlling the infection, keeping the oral cavity clean, and repairing the wound surface. In addition, appropriate supplementation of B vitamins should be given.

When adults learn this knowledge, they should also explain it more to children so that they can learn to eat healthily, protect their own health, and develop good living habits. It is also important to remind children not to scratch the blisters in their mouths. Although the blisters in the mouth may cause burning and itching, they should be patient or apply some medicine to relieve the discomfort.
