Three major factors that children rely on for height growth

Three major factors that children rely on for height growth

Experts say that "genetic factors account for more than 60% of the influence on height", which makes short parents a little frustrated. In fact, there is no need to worry. I have seen many children who are much taller than their parents. Genetics cannot be controlled, but 40% of acquired factors can be controlled.

First is nutrition

Nutrition is closely related to height. In addition to fish, meat, eggs, vegetables and fruits, I would like to remind mothers that milk is a particularly good "height-increasing agent". Milk is a rare natural healthy food that is rich in high-quality protein, and life is the basic form of protein.

In the past, Japanese people were not tall. In 1954, Japan passed legislation emphasizing that milk must be part of students' nutritious lunches, and 200 ml of milk must be provided when providing students with lunch. In the 1960s, in order to improve the national quality and population quality, Japan put forward the slogan "Let a cup of milk strengthen a nation."

Since then, it has become fashionable for Japanese children to drink a glass of milk every day. Today, the improvement in the physical fitness of the Japanese has attracted worldwide attention: the average height has increased by 11 cm compared with the previous generation, the weight has increased by 8 kg, and it has become one of the countries with the longest life expectancy in the world. It is internationally recognized as a "miracle of human physical development."

The second is adequate sleep

The old saying goes, “Children grow while they sleep,” which makes sense. Medical research shows that for a child in the growth and development period, the quality of physical development is closely related to the quality of sleep.

70%-80% of growth hormone, which promotes growth and development, is secreted during sleep. If there is insufficient sleep, it will hinder the secretion of growth hormone and affect the growth of children. So please, parents who like to stay up late to watch football, Korean dramas, or play mahjong, please make some sacrifices for the growth and development of your children.

Not only that, I read a document that showed that the academic performance of 7-8 year old primary school students is clearly related to the length of their sleep. Among children who slept less than 8 hours a day, 61% performed poorly in academic performance, 39% barely reached the average score line, and none of them were among the top students.

Among the children who slept about 10 hours, only 13% had poor academic performance, 76% had average academic performance, and 11% had excellent academic performance. This shows that children's sleep is closely related to their intellectual development, so children must get enough sleep for 8 hours.

The third is sports

Physical exercise promotes blood circulation, accelerates metabolism, and promotes bone growth and development. Outdoor sports are also beneficial to calcium absorption. We often see children running happily, getting tanned and strong, rarely getting sick and being strong and tall.

Children today do too little exercise. There are far from enough physical education classes in schools, and almost no children take the initiative to exercise after school. I often see groups of three or two children enthusiastically gathering around shop windows to buy snacks. I basically don't go out at night, and if I can finish the homework assigned by the teacher before 10 o'clock, I'm considered fast.

On weekends, I "sit" in a different place: various Olympiad classes and English classes, leaving me with basically no free time. When should we exercise? No wonder there are fat kids everywhere on the streets.

Want your child to grow taller? Let him have more contact with nature. Do you want your children to be smart? Let them go out and run more often. German education experts say that "one day of outdoor activities will stimulate a child's brain more than 10 days of indoor activities."
