Causes of Autism

Causes of Autism

There are actually many causes of autism. Why is it called autism? This question may be the voice of many autistic people. Autism is the most common type of disorder in children. However, there is currently no cure for autism. But before we understand many simple methods, we must understand the causes of autism.

In fact, the causes of autism are not unknown, among which the most commonly mentioned are genetic factors. After the sick children's siblings develop the disease, they are mainly affected by genetic factors. The chance of developing the disease is relatively high in monozygotic twins, and more than 4% of the children have a Y chromosome. But their parents and brothers also have Y chromosomes. This shows that the occurrence of this type of autism is actually related to genetic factors. I hope we can understand it.

Children with this disease are more likely to have a history of perinatal injuries than normal children, including premature birth, difficult labor, asphyxia, and birth problems. The incidence of this disease is higher in those who have suffered from meningitis, encephalitis, and brain trauma after birth. In recent years, magnetic resonance imaging studies have found that children with this disease have an enlarged fourth ventricle, underdeveloped cerebellar vermis, and a significantly smaller brain stem.

Some people believe that the lack of rich and appropriate stimulation in the early living environment and the failure to teach social behavior are also important factors in the onset of the disease. Children who stay in a monotonous environment for a long time often use repetitive actions to stimulate themselves and have no interest in the external environment.

There are actually many causes of autism. After reading the above introduction, we must be clear that autism is one of the more common types of diseases in children, but autism cannot be cured. It is necessary to understand the cause of the disease and then take symptomatic treatment in order to better diagnose and cure it.
