Newborn baby keeps making goose sounds?

If a newborn baby always makes goose-like sounds, it may be caused by gastrointestinal discomfort in the child, or it may be caused by pneumonia. It is also closely related to the hypoplasia of laryngeal cartilage.

1. Gastrointestinal discomfort: If you eat some milk powder that is too cold, or if your stomach is bloated, it will cause gastrointestinal discomfort and cause some goose-like sounds. It is usually necessary to use some probiotics reasonably under the guidance of a doctor to regulate the gastrointestinal flora, which can alleviate the symptoms of gastrointestinal discomfort.

2. Pneumonia: Newborns are still relatively small and have low immunity. Once they are infected with bacteria, pneumonia, or fungi, they will develop symptoms of pneumonia, which will affect their normal breathing, cause some bad vocalizations, and induce goose calls. Usually you need to go to the hospital for a lung CT scan. After pneumonia is confirmed, you will use anti-inflammatory drugs under the guidance of a doctor to improve the condition. If necessary, you will also need to be treated through intravenous infusion.

3. Laryngeal cartilage dysplasia: Once laryngeal cartilage dysplasia occurs, it will cause symptoms of respiratory tract obstruction, accompanied by some laryngeal sounds and difficulty breathing. Mild symptoms generally do not require special treatment and can gradually improve between the ages of two to 30. However, for those with more severe symptoms, tracheotomy surgery is needed for treatment when they grow up.
