Treatment of voice problems In the field of pediatrics, voice therapy is mainly used for vocal training for children with hearing impairments and mental retardation, including training in pitch, loudness, voiced sounds, onset and duration. At present, China has utilized the multimedia function of computers and adopted clinical medicine software as a treatment method, combining it with other methods in individual treatment such as changing loudness, throat massage, semi-swallowing, changing tongue position, reducing hard onset, relaxation, breathing training, etc., to achieve the treatment effect. 4. Treatment of speech disfluency It is difficult to distinguish speech disfluency from stuttering in young children. When this disfluency is very frequent, indirect treatments are often used, such as children's games, parental guidance, changing the way parents and children interact, and adjusting the environment. The reason for using an indirect treatment method is to avoid causing children to be nervous due to deliberately correcting their speech disfluency. Therapists should advise family members not to correct the child's disfluencies and to ask him to repeat and reiterate. Some game-like situations such as storytelling, nursery rhymes, and children's songs can be designed to promote language fluency. |
