Can a 2-year-old baby eat chocolate?

There are still many things to pay attention to in the diet of two-year-old babies. There are some foods that they basically cannot eat, otherwise it will be bad for their gastrointestinal development. As for chocolate, they can consume some, which will not cause any harm to the body, but they must not eat too much, otherwise it will cause some inflammation.

1. Do not eat tomatoes before meals.

If tomatoes are eaten before meals, the baby may experience symptoms such as abdominal pain and stomach discomfort. This is because eating tomatoes before meals will increase the concentration of gastric acid and cause gastric dilation. Therefore, tomatoes are suitable for eating after meals, which can mix stomach acid and food, thereby greatly reducing acidity.

2. Bean sprouts must be fried

Bean sprouts are rich in nutrients and are a good choice for supplementing nutrition for babies, but the bean sprouts must be fried, otherwise the baby may have diarrhea after eating them. Adverse reactions such as vomiting.

Although carotene is very nutritious, if consumed too much, the baby may show symptoms such as unwillingness to eat, temper tantrums, etc. In severe cases, the baby may not sleep well and may even talk in sleep and have night terrors.

4. The steaming and cooking time of green leafy vegetables should not be too long.

The green leaves of vegetables contain nitrates. If they are steamed or cooked for too long, the nitrates will turn into nitrites, which can easily cause food poisoning. For example, leeks are best cooked and eaten immediately and should not be stored for a long time. In addition, babies with poor digestion should not eat leeks.

5. Babies should not eat too much vegetables containing oxalic acid.

Because oxalic acid will react with calcium and zinc in the human body to produce calcium oxalate and zinc oxalate. These two substances are not easy to eliminate, which will affect the baby's absorption of calcium and zinc.

6. In addition, do not feed your baby too much at one time, because the baby's digestive function is not particularly strong. If the baby eats too much at one time, it will easily cause indigestion, abdominal distension, and abdominal pain.
