How to deal with a 3-year-old baby's low-grade fever

Low fever is very normal now. There are many factors that lead to low fever, among which infection cannot be ruled out. In addition, if the low fever persists for a long time, generally for more than two weeks, it may be pulmonary tuberculosis or extrapulmonary tuberculosis, as well as chronic infection lesions. Low fever will not last too long, generally about 2 to 3 days, which is already very serious and requires special attention to treatment.

Hypothermia is a body temperature that is higher than normal but below 38 degrees Celsius. The low fever referred to in traditional Chinese medicine also includes a situation in which the patient subjectively feels hot in the palms and soles and hot in the chest, but the body temperature is not higher than normal. Common manifestations include night heat and morning coolness, or night fever, hot flashes in the afternoon, hot palms and soles, and bone steaming fever, often accompanied by weight loss, fatigue, weakness, poor appetite, irritability, red tongue with little coating, and a thin and rapid pulse.

Modern medicine divides the causes of this disease into two categories: infectious and non-infectious. Common causes of long-term low-grade fever (lasting more than 2 weeks) include pediatric pulmonary tuberculosis and extrapulmonary tuberculosis; chronic infection lesions (such as chronic tonsillitis, chronic sinusitis, chronic gingivitis, chronic otitis media, chronic nephritis, etc.); functional low-grade fever, characterized by normal body temperature in the morning and low-grade fever after activity.

Based on the clinical manifestations, diagnosis is not difficult for patients with low fever as the main symptom. The key is to find out the cause of the disease and treat it accordingly.

Modern medicine mainly adopts the method of eliminating the cause of this disease.

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that when exogenous pathogens invade the human body, the struggle between good and evil can cause fever; when overeating, fatigue, emotional depression, food stagnation, phlegm, blood stasis, etc. remain for a long time, they lead to organ dysfunction, loss of qi, blood and body fluids, and imbalance of yin and yang, which can cause fever; deficiency of qi, blood, yin and yang can cause fever. In cases of this disease, internal injuries are generally more common than external ones.

Among children with low-grade fever, there are many cases where it is difficult to identify the exact cause of the disease at the moment, and they can be treated with traditional Chinese medicine.

[Clinical efficacy] 1,960 cases of this disease were treated with pure Chinese medicine, and all were cured. On average, the body temperature returned to normal after taking two doses.
