What is the cause of the baby's high fever and diarrhea?

Baby fever and diarrhea are relatively common diseases. There are many reasons for baby fever and diarrhea. Parents need to take the baby to the hospital in time to find out the cause. Before finding out the cause, it is best not to give the baby medicine indiscriminately. Pay more attention to observing the baby, treat the symptoms, carefully observe the baby's urine volume, and prevent the baby from becoming dehydrated. The following are the reasons for baby's high fever and diarrhea.

There are five types of baby diarrhea:

1. Diarrhea due to spleen deficiency : Weak spleen and stomach lead to diarrhea after eating. There are undigested food, milk lumps, etc. in the stool, but it is not smelly. The baby's face is yellow and he looks not energetic.

2. Diarrhea caused by food poisoning : Because the baby eats too much, it causes abdominal distension and pain, and the stool is sour and smelly. Because excessive eating damages the spleen and stomach, the baby does not want to eat.

3. Wind-cold diarrhea : The baby’s abdomen gets cold due to external factors such as playing outside, not paying attention when taking a bath, or not adding clothes in time when the weather turns cold. The stool is clear, foamy or green, and some babies will have fever symptoms.

4. Spleen and kidney yang deficiency diarrhea : This is what we often call "early morning diarrhea", bowel movements at four or five in the morning, long-term diarrhea, pale complexion, fear of cold, cold hands and feet, and lack of energy.

5. Damp-heat diarrhea : urgent diarrhea, smelly stool, a few with mucus, redness and swelling around the anus, loss of appetite, dry lips, and sometimes fever.

What should babies eat when they have fever and diarrhea?

1. Fry the noodles until slightly yellow, then make noodle soup with the fried noodles and thinly shredded ginger. Pick out the shredded ginger and feed it to the baby. The fried noodles are easy to digest, which is what we usually call "replenishing the stomach" (note, babies suffering from damp-heat diarrhea should not add shredded ginger).

2. Drinking boiled apple water or eating steamed apples both have anti-diarrhea effects.

3. Avoid eating high-protein, high-fat, and high-sugar foods, such as eggs, fish, meat, fried and greasy foods, cream, and high-sugar beverages and snacks. Vegetables should also be eaten less or not eaten for the time being, because the crude fiber in vegetables can aggravate diarrhea. Mothers should avoid spicy and greasy foods. For babies who are bottle-fed, you can replace milk powder with soy milk powder that does not contain lactose.

4. For diarrhea caused by wind-cold and diarrhea caused by deficiency of spleen and kidney yang, you can fry the salt or heat it in a microwave, then wrap the hot salt in gauze and place it on the baby's navel for a hot compress for 10 to 15 minutes at a time, 2 to 3 times a day. Parents must remember to keep the temperature moderate and never burn the baby's delicate skin. For young children who usually eat too much meat and suffer from diarrhea due to indigestion, in addition to controlling their diet appropriately, they can also boil hawthorn, drink water and eat hawthorn.
